CEO Yuk Sim Gang is one of the founders of Hana AIM Asset Management Company, which officially secured its license from the Korean government to operate and manage real estate investment (REIT) properties in the Korean market. He was a former Co-CEO of Savills Korea, the Korean branch of Savills of England.

His first experience in the investment market was his engagement in H&Q’s Asia Pacific Fund and the Korea Growth Fund, which were set up for private equity M&A investments by large Korean companies, right after the Asian financial crisis that hit Korea. Prior to that, he was with McKinsey & Company offering strategic advice on a number of M&A deals and management strategies and overseas investment activities of financial institutions in Korea. His career started at Citibank before he joined McKinsey & Company. At the multinational bank of Citibank, he was engaged in writing strategies on how to operate Citibank’s Korean branches, etc.

He received a Bachelor of Economics from Seoul National University and then a Master’s Degree in International Politics from Columbia University MBA.

Managing Director Choi Woosic started his career by serving at the Korea Housing Institute, the Korea Research Institute for Human Settlement as an entrusted researcher. He then moved to Delco Consulting Group to provide real estate consulting services. Following this, he joined Hanwha Group and worked there for about 16 years, becoming active in various projects and teams such as the Hanwha Construction project financing team, the development project team, the Hanwha Securities corporate financing team, the Hanwha Asset & Management real estate management team, and the Hanwha Group management planning bureau’s real estate TFT. He was then engaged in project deals that sold and repurchased properties such as Hanwha Group’s Main Office Building Liquidation (KOCREF No. 1) and Hanwha Securities Building Liquidation (KOCREF No. 3). Since 2003, he has been engaged in the real estate fund business up until the present time. 

While he was working for Hanwha Group he was in charge of many development and planning projects, including the Hanwha projects that reclaimed land to secure plant sites (Siheung Baegot New Town Project, Incheon Sorae Eco Metro Project) and the development projects launched by the Federation of Korean Industries’ Business City Committee (Yeongnam Haenam Tourism and Leisure-based Business City). 

Currently, he serves as the investment manager at Hana AIM Investment and accumulated expertise while working at Vestas Investment Management CO. Ltd. previously. He studied urban and real estate issues at Chung-Ang University and received his master’s degree in economics from the Graduate School of Chung-Ang University.

After graduating from Yonsei University (Department of Politics and Diplomacy), Director Kang Kyeongnam first joined ERA Korea Realty INC. At ERA Korea Realty INC, he was primarily engaged in transactions and business regarding leasing activities. He was involved in projects that opened showrooms for imported automotive brands along Dosan Street, and in Seocho-dong he was the main player in the purchase and sale of maintenance plants and offered retail consulting services.

 

He then moved to Hanwha Galleria, which is a distribution company within the Hanwha Group, and handled the opening of new department stores (Cheonan Center City, Kwangkyo branch (scheduled to open)), developed new business platforms (premium food sector, duty-free shops, etc.), and streamlined real estate asset (sale of the Daejeon Dongbaek branch and land in Busan). In addition, he served at the Hanwha Group’s Management and Planning Bureau as an expert on real estate properties related to the distribution market, where he implemented strategies to enter the distribution markets of Southeastern Asian countries such as Vietnam and Thailand, executing a project to build office buildings for the financial branches of the Hanhwa Group.

 

Currently, he is a director in charge of asset operations of retail facilities and hotels at the Hana AIM Asset Management Company. He studied politics and diplomacy at Yonsei University and holds licenses in real estate operations and development.

Deputy Manager Sin Geyongjun was the senior manager of the investment team at M’s Asset and has been in charge of real estate consulting. His main job was to consult on the purchase and sale of real estate properties and give advisory services around issues involving law, tax, and accounting. He also provided financing services and conducted market surveys. He offered consulting services for a number of building investment projects in the metropolitan area. 

As an asset management (AM) team leader at M’s Asset, he was in charge of portfolio and investment risk management, the transfer of assets and transactions, and the overview of various contracts related to real estate. He has experience in managing various types of properties, including office buildings, retail buildings, hospitals, and galleries.

He is currently serving as a deputy manager at Hana AIM and is in charge of asset management and the purchase and disposal of assets such as offices, retail properties, and hotels. He received a Bachelor’s Degree of Economics from Chung-Ang University and holds licenses on the management and development of real estate.
